Shopping cart times out at checkout

I'm trying to get an Authorizenet AIM module working for a client. Authorize is in test mode as well as ZC. Here are the ZC (1.3.7) settings:

**Enable Authorize.net (AIM) Module
**True

Login ID
--valid--

Transaction Key
--valid--

Transaction Mode
Test

Authorization Type
Authorize

Enable Database Storage
False

Customer Notifications
True

Merchant Notifications
True

Request CVV Number
True

Store the Credit Card Number
False

Sort order of display.
0

Payment Zone
--none--

Set Order Status
default

Debug Mode
Log File

Each time I try to process one of the dummy card numbers, the site just turns it's wheels for about a minute and then spits out a "I can't find this page" page. I had read in another post that Authorize requires the info to be sent within 10 seconds or it will timeout. This site is running slow so I thought that might be an issue. I also saw a discussion about hard coding Authorize's test servers to make things work coorectly, but it seems like if I have ZC setup in test mode that it would automatically use the Authorize test server. Am I wrong?

I appreciate any help everyone can give.

Re: Shopping cart times out at checkout

Here's a thought. Tell me if I'm wrong.

I removed the AIM module and started testing to see if the SIM module would work. It does! When checking out and pressing the final "Confirm Order" button, the URL it points to is the authorize site.

NOW...
I removed SIM and reinstalled AIM to check this URL. In AIM it is pointing to www.mywebsite.com/cart/index.php?main_page=checkout_process

Should it be doing that? If not, where do I change that?

Re: Shopping cart times out at checkout

cURL is enabled. I didn't have the proxy settings correct though. So I called my host provider and got that fixed.

Yet... I still get "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".

Re: Shopping cart times out at checkout

Here's a peek at the cURL info from my log file...
Shouldn't there be more than mostly zeroes in there?

CURL info: Array
(
[url] => https://secure.authorize.net/gateway/transact.dll
[http_code] => 0
[header_size] => 0
[request_size] => 0
[filetime] => -1
[ssl_verify_result] => 0
[redirect_count] => 0
[total_time] => 0
[namelookup_time] => 0.012
[connect_time] => 0
[pretransfer_time] => 0
[size_upload] => 0
[size_download] => 0
[speed_download] => 0
[speed_upload] => 0
[download_content_length] => 0
[upload_content_length] => 0
[starttransfer_time] => 0
[redirect_time] => 0
)

And this error is at the top...
Comm results: socket error: 110
What is this?

Yes, there should be more than 0's.
Yes, "socket error: 110" is the problem ... it means that when CURL attempted to make connection to the URL indicated, it encountered an error ... specifically #110, when trying to connect.
Your hosting company should be looking into that for you. Perhaps something is awry with their CURL configuration and/or firewall settings.

Re: Shopping cart times out at checkout

Got it fixed. When I called my hosting company to get the cURL proxy info, I neglected to observe that I need to follow the url that they gave me with the port number. So I called back, got that info, and everything has been hunky-dory since.
