Paypal not grabbing item title

I just discovered this today, but it has apparently been going on for some time (once I looked back through older emails).

The product title on the paypal payment screen says "MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYPAL_PURCHASE_DECRIPTION_TITLE"

and in the receipt emails it says "Item/Product Name: MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYPAL_PURCHASE_DECRIPTION_TITLE"

Anyone have any idea? BTW, the misspelling of "description" above is a c/p directly from the sources, not retyped in error by me. :lookaroun

Everything is working fine other than that, I get the orders in admin, I get the emails from paypal...it's just that the item title/description doesn't show up.

Check the PHP syntax!

From what I believe its in the file: /includes/modules/payment/paypal.php

Okay, now I have to admit my stupidity to the world (or at least you guys), but maybe it will help someone in the future.:blush: Here's what happened:

About a month ago a friend, who also has a zencart, and I both edited our paypal.php pages so that the paypal cc logo would display beside the word "Paypal" on the checkout payment page.

I messed mine up and instead of working more dilligently to try and correct my file, I had her give me a copy of hers. It appeared to work just fine and I thought no more about it.

In discovering this error in the emails and on the paypal payment page, however, I was forced to track down the error of my ways. When I went via FTP to look at the paypal.php file, I noticed the paypal.BAK file there and that's when I remembered editing the page.

Her version of zen is different than mine. Doh! I reverted back to my original paypal.php file and all is right with the world. heh...I even figured out how to add the graphics to mine.

Yeah, and I learned the hard lesson of backing up files with a error previous to that one, so fixing this was just a matter of deleting her file and renaming my bak file to paypal.php. I DO learn from my mistakes...I just can't seem to quit making new and different ones. :blink:

I have just installed Zen Cart 1.3.7 and I am seeing the same thing.

I haven't modified any code.

Any thoughts?

Make sure that you have installed the latest Patch for PayPal at:

Check that your /includes/languages/english/modules/payment/paypal.php has this line in it (usually near the bottom):```
define('MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYPAL_PURCHASE_DECRIPTION_TITLE', STORE_NAME . ' Purchase');

And yes, the misspelling of "DESCRIPTION" vs "DECRIPTION" is noted, and will be adjusted in a later release. It's used consistently with the incorrect spelling, thus will not be a problem functionally.*

I have checked that file and it does have the line.

During checkout (http://www.numinix.com)

It displays the Item as 'Item#' in the PayPal checkout process.
