How to Set Table Rate Shipping for US Lower 48 States - USPS Shipping for All Others

Here's my scenario:

I want to use the table rate shipping for all orders within the US (lower 48 states only), but I want to use USPS shipping for Alaska, Hawaii and all International orders.

Is there a way to set this up so that depending upon their address only certain shipping options will show?

I've tried searching the forums for this, but I ended up more confused than I was to begin with. LOL

I confess, I'm looking for the easiest fix possible to set this up. I've been working on my site for a month and my brain is tired. :blink:

You might take a look at this thread on building zones ...

You need to make a zone for the rest of the world ...

Then a zone for the 48 states plus DC ...

And determin which one gets the US territories, Islands, Armed Forces ...

We ship everything that can go ground via DHL with a flat rate cost.
The problem comes in when it has to go via Air - hence the Alaska, Hawaii, etc.

I'm not sure how DHL handles the Territories, Islands and Armed Forces, so I'll probably have to set them up for USPS. I'm assuming those would have to go Air too.

Does the DHL mod work with 1.3.7? I used it on my 1.2.7 cart, but haven't tried it on the new cart.
If it does, it may just be easier to go that route.
