Payment Options per Customer Type

Is it possible to present different customers with specific payment options - searched the forum/faq's but can't find an answer.

My customers will all be trade, and will be approved before allowing them to purchase. Some will be "monthly account" customers, and some will be required to pay by credit card [pro-forma invoice would be nice too]. What I am trying to avoid is a credit card customer being offered the monthly account option when he gets to checkout.

BTW - I have the super orders add on installed if that helps, but i am guessing that if this is possible it will be part of the core features somewhere.

I know it's been a while but if you're still looking for a solution try this.

Download and install the 'invoices' module from http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&cPath=40_48&products_id=230

Create a group called invoice - you can have as many groups as required as long as they're prefixed by invoice_.

Put the customer who can pay on account into this group, they will be offered the 'pay on invoice' option at checkout whereas users not in this group will only get the credit card option.

The nice things about this payment module is it links in with the group discount option. So if you create a group called invoice_3% and have this automatically deduct 3% at checkout the discount will be applied to any memberts of this group.
