Preventing two people from buying the same unique item?

Hello,

First let me explain that my shop sells unique items, in that each product listing has a single quantity, each item can be sold only once.

Let's suppose that two people are browsing my shop at the same time. If both of them add the same item to their cart, and proceed to pay for it, I end up with a problem since I have two people who have paid for the same item.

My question: Is it possible for an item to be set to "out of stock" or better yet be removed from display the moment that someone adds that item to their cart?

Check your Stock settings ...

A product is "owned" by the first person to complete the check out ...

If you have the settings so that you cannot checkout unless the product in stock this should help you on this issue ...
