Manufacturers Info

When a customer selects a manufacturer from the dropdown list we're presented with a page with the manufacturer's name and a list of products. It would be good to be able to have a little paragraph of information here under the heading. In fact that's what I want to do.

I know that one way to do this would be to set up separate categories for each manufacturer and copy/link each product as appropriate. Maybe this is best?

However I've been exploring the possibility of adding an manufacturer's info field to the appropriate table, but...

For the life of me I can't find the template responsible for outputting the manufacturer name at the top of the page. It may be that I'm looking too hard - my eyes are are red already... any pointers would be gladly received!

Maybe there is a contribution to do this out there that I have missed?

TIA

As there are many pages that can be referenced and you did not specify can you post a direct url to this page

I would like to do the same thing, this is where he is talking about:

http://edgeofperfection.com/index.php?main_page=index&manufacturers_id=1

I need to be able to add a description of the manufacture.

Thanks!
