Cannot list a new product on my new store?? PLEASE HELP!!

Hi there,

Just set up a new store, http://www.sadesigns.net/shop/

In the admin side when I click "create new product" button it just loads the menus, and shows: -

Categories / Products - Mens Clothing

It doesn't bring up the form to enter the details of the products. I installed it from my servage.net auto installer, I have been to zen-cart.com and downloaded the files seperatly and tried to upload caterogies.php but it didn't fix the problem..

Any ideas any one?? Just spend hours configuring this website and now cant get add products online :shocking:

Have you created any products?

Do you have next to the New Product button a dropdown with the 5 Product Types in it?

No I have created no products. Next to the new product button there is a drop down menu, but there is no options in there. What are the 5 product types? Presumue that is what I am missing to creating the products

There are no product types & no options to add....

Sounds like you never got the database tables setup right ...

If you really have nothing installed, it would be easier to take the copy of the download from here of Zen Cart v1.3.7 and reload all the files ...

Then, you will see the files:
/includes/dist-configure.php
/admin/includes/dist-configure.php

Rename those to
/includes/configure.php
/admin/includes/configure.php

Set them to 777 ...

In phpMyAdmin, drop all the tables in the database for Zen Cart ...

And start over on the install ...

This should get all of the data in there correctly for you and correct any issues your first install may have ...

I have spent hours getting all the settings sorted. It's just read to add products is it possible to just replace the files so that I don't have to loose all of the databased ammendments

well ... you can try to remake the product_types table and see if that is the only damage ...

Go to the Tools ... Install MySQL Patches ... to run those and see if this fixes the problem ...

Does not seem to have changed anything...

Could you re-load all the files and subdirectories for the:
/admin

There could be a bad, corrupt or missing file causing this ...
