Serious Lag at Paypal: Can someone help me fix

I do hope this is the right forum in which to be posting this. I began experiencing a severe lag at the order confirmation stage (on my site after the paypal screen) after the Paypal Express Invalid Parameter Issue started and was fixed. Checkout at least works now, but is very sluggish. I wondered if someone could help me diagnose and fix the problem.

These are my logs from my mysql slow queries provided by my host. I've had quite a few in the last couple of days. I've only posted the ones from today/late last night (since the fix) but can post more if needed.

Thank you in advance for any help. I'm running a fresh install (new just this week) of zen and the latest paypal express patch.

I put the logs from the last day here I don't know how to read them well enough to know whether or not they duplicate each other. I also don't think there's anything incriminating in them in terms of a security breech or weakness but would appreciate a head's up if that's inaccurate.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Could you peek in your database via phpMyAdmin and check if you have indexes or not?

Peek at the file:
/zc_install/sql/mysql_zencart.sql

You should see matching indexes ...

One way to test is to backup the structure and do a compare to it ...

Your slow logs are showing odd slow querries that I would not really expect ...

How many users do you average on your site at one time?

I am having trouble locating that directory. Can you give me an extended version? I'm sorry I'm so dense!

I do know that when I'm in phpMyAdmin and I have my zen db selected, there is nothing in the left frame or the center frame called index.

Oh, and I never have more than a few dozen people on my site at any given time at peak times. The average for the rest of the days (most of the month) is less than that.

There is nothing that I can see to account for these slow times other than a doggy server ...

When it takes 2 seconds to grab a specific record from the configuration table ... there is something really wrong here ...

Speak to your hosting site about being moved to a less overloaded server ...

Also, turn on GZip ...

And, you really need to optimize those images they are monsters ...

Re: Serious Lag at Paypal: Can someone help me fix

How do I turn on gzip? Is there a quick way to optimize all of my images?

I tried that before posting here and they said that the problem was in my zen cart. Is there something I should say/word differently that may get me a better response? Or is there a way to tell my database to stop running unnecessary queries?
