Bullets? How do I add these to my Categories List?

Can anyone help me with this one?

I've managed to add bullet images to the list of links in my Information sidebox, but the same method doesnt seem to work for the products list in my Categories sidebox.

Any ideas why?

To get it to work in the Information sidebox I added the following to my CSS :

#informationContent.sideBoxContent ul li {
list-style-image: url(../images/bullet01.gif);
}

I thought that adding :

#categoriesContent.sideBoxContent {
list-style-image: url(../images/bullet01.gif);
}

....would give me the same result for my products list, but it doesnt work.

Help.

Because the categories list is not an unordered list like the information sidebox. If you look at your page source, you'll see that the information sidebox is like this:

and the categories sidebox is like this:
<a href="link_here.html">Link</a>

The css bullet tags are for unordered lists.

You could however add a background image to the links, something kinda like this:

#categoriesContent a {
background: URL(../images/YOUR_IMAGE.jpg) no-repeat;
padding-left: 35px;
background-position: center left;
}

The background method works ok, but doesnt allow me to add a rollover, as with the bullet method.

Is there no other way?
Seems like a fairly fundemental request.
