Quick Way To Reset Pricing

Is there a faster way to update of change pricing than by the admin products/category method?

Is there a module that trims down the process?

I am not positive on this, but if you open a new product and call it say discount template and leave it blank. Then open the price atribute and set the discount which can be either a + or a - percentage then save it. If your set it to plus you will increase the price and to minus to decrease it by that percentage.

Then go back to the main listing for the template and click on the atribut button, click on the button to copy attributes to another catagory, then check the radio button for ignore and add only new attributes, then select the catagory from the dropdown menu and click the copy to button.

Reasoning says that seeing as the only attribute defined is the price discount that you set earlier then it should only be this that is transfered to the products in the selected catagory. Whether this is the case, I dont know, I do know it works with the other attributes that I have set. So I can only recomend that you set up a dummy catagory with one blank product to test it on.

If it works great, if it dont well youve only lost a few minutes.
