Music download site

I have some questions re a music download site. I have started by adding 5 MP3's that are free.

1. Can I DEFAULT the product type to music instead of general, so I don't have to change this each time I add a product?

2. Can I DISABLE the "larger image" link? (Not necessary.)

3. I'm not quite following how to add previews even after reading a couple of threads on this subject. I have created one collection, and put all 5 clips in it.

4. I have disabled all shipping modules since everything is a virtual product. Can I disable the warning that says no shipping modules are installed? Or do I just ignore that?

If you set the Category to be restricted to Product Music then that is the only choice ... hit Edit on the Category to do this ...

You can copy the file:
tpl_modules_main_product_image.php

to your templates and overrides directory and customize it to not include the link ...

Not sure what you mean on the previews ...

If these are downloads note that they do not get marked as Virtual Products nor as Always Free Shipping ...

The warning is just that ... you can ignore it providing nothing needs shipping as Download only orders skip the checkout_shipping ...

This part confuses me. I read it in another thread on here somewhere. If a download is not a virtual product ... then what is?

Okay I get that now.

I was not pressing the button beside it (re the sub-categories). I was hitting SAVE. That's why it wasn't working for me.
