Master Categories ID all set to #0

I am a newb to all this so I am hoping you can help. I have searched the forum but to no avail. I have populated my Zencart setup using Easy Populate. However I have now come to set up a Sale and have found that all my Master Category ID fields for all of my products have been set to zero and hence I am unable to set up a sale.

How do I go about fixing this problem? The EP upload format does not contain a field for setting the master category ID (or does it?).

Thanks

Gary

Re: Master Categories ID all set to #0

Apologies I just found the answer to this problem => please ignore.

However I do still have one remaining problem that I do not understand. I have uploaded my images to the server using ftp (separate images for small, medium and large). I have uploaded my products using Easy Populate and provided appropriate image filenames so they can be found on the server.

However for some reason Zencart will only display the image if I have permissions set to 445 (rather than 444) on the images directory. This means I need to leave "execute" access to others to display the images. I do not understand why this is the case and I presume leaving it as 445 is a security risk. I notice that this is not true of images uploaded using the zencart admin utility so I am guessing that something is not set correctly somewhere for those images I have FTP'ed to the site. Any ideas what I am doing wrong here?

Thanks

Gary

Re: Master Categories ID all set to #0

Could you post your solution to solving the issue of the missing master_categories_id when using Easy Populate?

Note: you also will most likely be missing a proper products_price_sorter if you did not have a master_categories_id ...

Re: Master Categories ID all set to #0

To solve the master categories issue I went into admin -> tools -> store manager and clicked on "Reset ALL Products Master Categories ID" which did the job nicely (I think!).

Apologies for the rather simply solution - I should have searched harder the first time.

Anyone got any ideas on the image problem which has really stumped me!
