Confirm Order ccs button too short - where is the style for it?

Hi

My confirm order button is too short. It is not defined in the ccs button stylesheet and when I look at the source code it has an inline style defined at 84px.

Using the developers tool kit I did a search on 84 and 84px and it doesn't find it in the catalog source code.

Does anyone know where or how I can change this setting?

Thanks!

v1.3.6

Sincerely,
Tina

This is an answer from someone who just can't seem to get to grips with the button widths! :wink2:

I've found the simplest cure for most of these button overflow issues is to add up to 3 spaces (using  ) to the BUTTON_NAME_ALT in incudes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/button_names.php

It may not be the "right" way, but it usually works!

You can also add the following declarations to your stylesheet_css_buttons.css

input.cssButton,input.cssButtonHover{width:0 !important;overflow:visible;}
input.cssButton[class],input.cssButtonHover[class]{width:auto !important;}

These two declarations will adjust the width of your css buttons.

I don't know as much about css as I'd like to, but surely that snippet only affects input buttons (update , submit) as opposed to ALL buttons?

I use it, have CSS buttons turned on in admin and it works for all the buttons that show up on the site.

Well, almost all buttons, except the refresh cart button, delete product button and the PayPal Express button on the shopping cart page.

Re: Confirm Order ccs button too short - where is the style for it?

Thank you clydejones. this worked for me and helped with some other button issues as well.

Tested in ie 6.0.2.9, netscape 8.12, opera 9.10, and firefox 2.0.0.2
[on the pc, not tested on mac]

But really, where is the 84px in the source code?

Sincerely,
Tina

Re: Confirm Order ccs button too short - where is the style for it?

in includes/functions/html_output.php

find the following:

  function zenCssButton($image = '', $text, $type, $sec_class = '', $parameters = '') {

    // automatic width setting depending on the number of characters
    $min_width = 85; // this is the minimum button width, change the value as you like

I haven't touched this code so 85 is the "default" minimum width.

I'm not sure where the 84 is coming from.

I am having height issues with my CSS buttons. The tops and bottoms are missing. Any ideas?

Where should this be put on the stylesheet?

Usually, anywhere will work.
