Arrows and signs in categories

Hi!

I would like to remove the arrows "->" (marked with green in picture) and a subcategory sign "|_" (marked red) in the categories menu.
I have checked the whole code of ZC with grep, but it haven't found any of those simbols.
I am wondering if there is any way to remove them?
I would also like to remove the counter of items in category (marked with blue).

Oh, and I am using the "red passion" template, if it has anything to do with it.

Thanks you wery much for help!

Re: Arrows and signs in categories

Try the admin > config > layout settings > Categories Separator between the Category Name and Count ->
admin > config > layout settings > Categories Separator between the Category Name and Sub Categories |_

Re: Arrows and signs in categories

Well I am expiriancing another issue.
Is it possible to have subcategorys and products in the same categorys?
I am making a catalogue of books, and I would like to make subcategry for a trilogy and collections and have single books in the same category in the same time.

Thanks

p.s. I am still interested in turning product count off.

Re: Arrows and signs in categories

No ... Categories hold products or they hold categories ... they do not hold both ...

This will cause search, pricing and navigation issues in addition to other assorted unwanted issues ...

Re: Arrows and signs in categories

Peek in the Configuration ... My Store ...

Show Category Counts
Count recursively how many products are in each category

true
false

Re: Arrows and signs in categories

In the Configuration ... Index Listing ...
0 = off and any other value is the sort order in each section ...

Re: Arrows and signs in categories

If you peek again at the Index Listing ...

Each centerbox has multiple settings for the various location on the main page ...

You have to set all of them the way you want them to display or not display ... again where 0 = OFF and any other value is the sort order of the centerbox within each grouping ...
