Special Instructions or Comments About Your Order

I have a 1.3.6 site that does not include the Special Instructions or Comments About Your Order in the invoice, packing slip, or the confirmation email.

The box is there and I can fill it in.

Could I have turned off the function without knowing it?

It was a false alarm. My client was expecting the special instructions to be on the invoice. They are. They are called delivery instructions.

To satisfy the client where do I change the the term "delivery instructions" to "special instructions" in the invoice, packing slip, and email order confirmation?

Assuming "special instructions" and "delivery instructions are one in the same.

The client is correct after further investigation.

The special instructions are not transferred to the invoice, packing slip, or confirmation email.

By default ... the comments are not on the invoice or packing_slip ... they are on the orders ...

I will have to see what can be done for the next release for those who want this ... how hard can it be? :lamo:

That would be nice addition to be able to print the special instructions.

I have a florist client who has had a few complaints because he missed the special instructions.

He receives numerous orders a day and he just prints the invoice and packing slip.

One customer ordered a dozen white roses. The special instructions were eleven white roses and one red rose. The customer was quite upset he received twelve white roses.

Hi All,
I am kind of new to this zencart thing but wondered if anyone has done anything with this possibility of printing comments on invoices? I messed up 2 large orders this past week because I did not see the comments until I went in to change the order to shipped, which was 2 days later because of the weekend! OOPS!!! Would really need to have the comments print on the invoice. I tried making some modifications myself, but I have no clue what I am doing and restored the back up file back :)

This is built into the upcoming v1.3.8 as an option for invoices and packing slips ... :smile:
