authorize.net in test mode - question

I am a developer and need to walk a customer through the first cc she receives, so I set up a developers account w/ authorize.net. I wanted to see what she would see.

I did hardcode the test url - zen-cart shows the following in the order page:

02/28/2007 21:00:38 Pending 02/28/2007 21:00:38
Credit Card payment. AUTH: 000000. TransID: 0.

but, I don't see a transaction to work w/ when I login into authorize.net - I'm just trying to anticipate what my customer will have to do to process the cc.

Will I not see anything at authorize.net - or did this not go through to them?

I have the cart set up for production using the test url - I couldn't make the tx go through w/ it set up in test mode - merchant login ID or password is invalid - didn't matter what combination of things I tried.

I finally found a thread that suggested hardcoding the test url because my account is specifically a test account.

Re: authorize.net in test mode - question

Test transactions will not appear in the authorize.net merchant console, because they aren't processed by the real processing engine.

If you're looking for user instructions on using the merchant console, I believe there are tutorials and PDFs online for your customer to use for becoming more comfortable with processing orders.

You could also just do a "live" transaction and be sure to void it before 3PM the next business day so that the card is not really charged.
