Major SLOW ZENCART site issues!!?? HELP!

I am not sure why but the ZenCart we are setting up is most DREADFULLY SLOW and not going to be useable at the rate it moves now at all...I came across a post in regards to category-product navigation tree issues but gather from Ajeh that is not our problem...?

IT is NOT a server issue I do not believe as our current site is still up and running/loading fast as usual without a problem...the Zencart site is barely uploading at all...? Any ideas???

1 your site does not utilize Gzip Compression
You can turn on this feature in the Configuration ... Gzip Compression ...

Enable GZip Compression
0= off 1= on

2 your hosting site does not have your site setup to manage gethostbyaddr efficiently so first hit is terribly slow ...
You can turn off this feature in the Configuration ... Sessions ...

Convert IP Address to Host Address

Note: on some servers this can slow down the initial start of a session or execution of Emails

3 your site may or may not be on an overloaded server ...
At the moment, once I can get eventually get to your site and then it runs 100% faster than the other day so it appears either the server was restarted or the MySQL was restarted or whatever was putting the high load on the server has ended ...

4 if these things do not speed up your site, you could speak to your hosting site about moving you to a less overloaded server ...
