Sort order of Categories...

I need some help in changing the sort order of all my categories...

Currently all products in each category are displaying in alphabetical order.
I would like them to display by date added, most recent first.

I am not sure where to do this.
I am aware of the settings in admin for Product Listing, etc... those are not what I need.

p.s If this requires editing a php file... I have absolutely NO knowlege of php.:lookaroun

The bad news is that there is no ability for product listing to sort by date added (All, Featured & New do have this.)

There is a setting in admin > Configuration > Product Listing for "Display Product Listing Default Sort Order". Unfortunately, there is no documentation there of how to get various kinds of results.

If you get the sort order looking the way you want (by clicking on headings in the product listing), you can then look up in the address bar and see the sort order (like this: /index.php?main_page=index&cPath=58_60&page=1&sort=3a).
Paste the number (e.g. 3a) into the setting text field.
