Whos Online Error. Zen Cart no longer working

When I go to my cart this is now all that I see in the browser:
1034 Incorrect key file for table 'zen_whos_online'; try to repair it
in:
[delete from zen_whos_online where time_last_click < '1173101780']

If I check the "whos online" in the admin I get this:
1034 Incorrect key file for table 'zen_whos_online'; try to repair it
in:
[delete from zen_whos_online where time_last_click < '1173101931' or (time_entry=time_last_click and time_last_click < '1173102591')]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

Can anyone help me repair this and also (maybe more important) why did this happen? I have not done anything to the working shopping cart in days and this just came out of nowhere.
Thanks,
Jesse

Try going into phpMyAdmin and doing a Repair on the whos_online table ...

If not ... try emptying the table ...

Thanks,
I prolly should have done a bit more searching because I found others with similar problems. Repairing the database took care of things.

Thanks for the update and glad that repairing the database table via phpMyAdmin was able to correct this problem ...

phpmyadmin is included with your hosting account. You'll find a link in your hosts cpanel.

Sort that out and then BACKUP YOUR DATABASE before cleaning your admin files. Then just "click the button to clean it".

Hello, my cpanel does not have a file called phpmyadmin

(1)are you talking about zen admin? if so my files in cpanel start with shop then there is an admin file, when I click that I do see whos online is that where I need to fix this? if not...if anyone has cpanel 8 please tell me what to do or who to ask where this file is?

(2) what happens when it says your admin is over two months old and you need to clean it, click here...what happens if I just click instead of going the long way? Would that delete all my products or something?

  1. If your host offers MySQL then they almost definitely offer phpMyAdmin aswell. Check again on your main cpanel screen. I've included a screenshot of my cpanel screen to show you how it might look and where it might be.

  2. When you click to clean your database it should just clean the old admin records out and everything will continue to work fine. However, it is good practice to always backup your database before making any changes to it so you should start now. You'll likely find a lot of situations in the future where you will need phpMyAdmin so finding out if you have it should be a priority. If you're certain you don't have it, ask your host why not. All half decent hosts will include phpMyAdmin in thier cpanel. If yours doesn't then maybe (and definitely, in my opinion) you chose the wrong host
