Header Logo Link Change

Hello Everyone,

Ok I am new to Zen Cart!
But from what I see and have done with this so far its great.
I have notice a simple problem I need fixed but not sure where to find it.

Now here is what I need to fix. I can fix it but don't know where to find it.

The Link associated with the header logo and the Home Links at the top and bottom of the page.

Any Help is appreciated.

It looks like your configure.php files are pointed to /shop or you have a redirect setup some where

Ok check that one out but the only link inside deals primarily with MySQL

I think it had something to do with the link that is entered during the installation process.

You should have this with yours set to /shop:

  // these paths are relative to top of your webspace ... (ie: under the public_html or httpdocs folder)
  define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/');
  define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/');

And this earlier in the file:

  define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://your_domain.com');
  define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://your_domain.com');

I also noticed that your url in the browser does not change....this must be set elsewhere

Ok the one you listed change my entire store.
No Back ground no sideboxes

The url stays the same for url forwarding so it hides all those lengthy urls. Thats not the problem.

When the installation started wasn't there a url that we manual put in.
Just a thought.

The url staying the same is controlled by url forwarding. All url forwarding does is hide the lengthy urls and make a clean looking url.

Apologies to you. I miss understood what your were say about the define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/');

I added the following to the line to make it look like this define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/store/index.php');

Now the only problem is that the banner I notice did not work to get back to zen cart home page it doubled up for some reason.
Any ideas. Here is the url doubled up.

store/index.phpindex.php?main_page=redirect&action=banner&goto=1

This is only the path to the files and not any file names so drop the index.php

It should be like:

'/' = if at the root
'/shop/' = if in a folder named shop
'/store/' = if in a folder named store

and or any other folder name

be sure to adjust all instances correctly

Droped it all together. Put it back to define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/store');
 
But I went in and manual change the:
tpl_header.php
tpl_footer.php
 
In both of these I notice where it called from this line here:
 
<li><?php echo '<a href="' . HTTP_SERVER . DIR_WS_CATALOG .  '">'; ?><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_CATALOG; ?></a></li>
 
I inserted the following into to call for the index.php here
<li><?php echo '<a href="' . HTTP_SERVER . DIR_WS_CATALOG . index . '">'; ?><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_CATALOG; ?></a></li>
 
Notice the difference in blue.

Droped it all together. Put it back to define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/store');
NOTE this first line in that file right above where you set this: (red my emphasis)

// NOTE: be sure to leave the trailing '/' at the end of these lines if you make changes![QUOTE][/QUOTE]

Your - '/store' - entry is not within that convention and should be:

'/store/'

Then you do not need to edit any other files
