PayPal IPN checkbox:: disable in cart?

I was finally able to get the payments to process after installing Express Checkout so shipping won't be added (there is a default shipping charge setup in the PayPal account for another web site). But it only works if using Express Checkout.

ZC will only pass everything on to PayPal if I also have PayPal IPN turned on, but if the custoemr selects the checkbox "PayPal IPN" shipping is added in which we don't want.

What we want to have happen is when the customer gets to Step 2 (index.php?main_page=checkout_payment) only Checkout with PayPal shows up and not PayPal IPN and Checkout with PayPal.

On another note I have ordered the book and received notification that it has been shipped.

If you turn off the PayPal IPN module in your admin area, then customers will not be able to choose it in their cart.
The PayPal Express Checkout module will send the line-item details to PayPal as long as there are no coupons/discounts/etc applied to your order (because PayPal cannot handle those).

Well I went back to step 1 and reset everything up. It worked fine for the first 2 test orders (I have a 0.01 item set up for testing purposes). AFter that the email confirmation from the cart came through, but the funds are not being debited from my PayPal account to the other PayPal account.

I'm more than a little frustrated.

Do make sure that you have reviewed this thread and properly applied the latest Patch ...

I had already applied all of the patches just the other day. So at the moment I'm not going to use ZC for this project because of a deadline. I just can't waste anymore time getting something to work.

Sorry - I cannot help you, since I cannot duplicate the behaviour you're reporting in any of my 5 test sites, neither using older code nor current patches.

Perhaps a list of other installed mods and any customizations you've made might be of assistance in narrowing down the cause of the problem.
Have you tried using a completely different set of PayPal accounts for both merchant and test customer to be sure it's not a setting in the account that's causing it (notwithstanding your report about your osc site allegedly being problem-free).
