moving left column navbar to bottom of page

So I'm trying to move the left navbar to the bottom page and lay it out so they are horizontal, but they are vertical:( I can't figure out how to make each code box read from left to right.

Here is a portion of the code that is in question. I've attached the entire tpl_main_page.php in a zip file if you need. This code appears at line 130.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

  </tr>
<tr>
	<td>
	<?php
	if (COLUMN_LEFT_STATUS == 0 or (CUSTOMERS_APPROVAL == '1' and $_SESSION['customer_id'] == '')) {
	  // global disable of column_left
	  $flag_disable_left = true;
	}
	if (!isset($flag_disable_left) || !$flag_disable_left) {
	 /**
	  * prepares and displays left column sideboxes
	  *
	  */
	?>
	<div id="navColumnOneWrapper" style="width: <?php echo BOX_WIDTH_LEFT; ?>"><?php require(DIR_WS_MODULES . zen_get_module_directory('column_left.php')); ?></div>
	<?php
	}
	?>
	</td>
</tr>
</table>

<?php
 /**
  * prepares and displays footer output
  *
  */

Re: moving left column navbar to bottom of page

You will need to rework the left column module to put the boxes horizontally.

Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

Re: moving left column navbar to bottom of page

So I took another look today but I just can't seem to figure it out... In looking at the source it appears to be seperated w/ divs, but I can't get them to line up horizontally for anything :(

Any ideas?

Re: moving left column navbar to bottom of page

ok I played with this and I got it to work......here goes

step 1. open includes/modules/sideboxes/categories.php and copy all of the code out.

step 2. open includes includes/templates/YOUR_CUSTOM_TEMPLATE/common/tpl_footer.php and right after <!--eof-navigation display --> add <table><tr><td> and then paste the code from the other file. then close the table with </td></tr></table>
step 3. go to admin>tools>layout boxes controller and turn off categories sidebox.

done.. now the categories sidebox will only show up in the footer
To add more boxes copy the code for the box and add another <td>paste code</td> with in the table......I think I didn't try adding other boxes but it follows that it should work

Re: moving left column navbar to bottom of page

Here is a link to the page in question. http://www.lakepeople.com/lp/

I have been looking for a way to put sideboxes in the footer for a while and you have so me the way. Thank you!

Re: moving left column navbar to bottom of page

The table method of page layout is obsolete, and often not as flexible as using divs and CSS.

Replace the <table> etc. tags around your box code with

<div id="footerInformation"> (your code) </div>

In your stylesheet (/includes/templates/your_template/css/stylesheet.css) add this (it doesn't matter where - put it in a place logical to you):

#footerInformation {margin: auto;}
