Attributes not working for sales

Products with optional attributes are included in sale pricing.

Example:

Product costs $100, with an optional item added for $10.

When put on sale for 50% off product costs $50, but the optional item still costs $10 instead of $5.

I tried the following with no results. HELP!!!!

I tried using the "priced by attribute" option and then the sale doesn't work at all.

I also tried using the attribute flags in every combination and they don't fix my problem either.

I assume I am just missing something obvious and you guys can help me out.

On the Attribute what do you have this set to?

Apply Discounts Used by Product Special/Sale: No Yes

My attributes are set as follows...

Priced by attribute = off

Display=off
Free=on
Default=on
Discounted=on
Base=on
Required=off

You can go to www.discreetjewelers.com to see yourself.
Particularly the Cirlce of Life Jewelry under categories all exhibit this problem. Also any other item on sale with options.

I get the same problem, the sale is well applied to the items which are not "attribute priced" and not to the other of course I can see the discounted price is displayed on item page, but in the shopping cart the sale is not applied.

Thank you for your answer Ajeh, but that's what I tried and it doesn't work my items have two attributes size and colour the attribute pricing is only applied on size.

And the status on the sale is active, or green ...

Thanks for the time you spend on my problem, but I think it will be helpfull for a lot.
Some of my items are priced so :

                      - item1  price 10
                                  - colour  blue
                                  - size     1, 2, 3, 4 +3€, 5 +4.5€

When I try to apply a discount on such items the problem is the following:

      -in the catalog the item appears to be discounted but not in the cart as you choose it. just try it on the following page.

Don't worry about warning messages it's only a test version.

Turn off the Priced by Attribute ... does this fix it?

This what I made to fix the problem on the production version of my website, but this doesn't solve the problem beacuse there's a difference between the different sizes when I buy the product why should small sizes pay for biggers or reverse.

With "normal" products this problem doesn't appear.

Check in the products table that the product has a master_categories_id that matches the categories_id on sale ...

See if changing to the Classic Template makes this price correctly ...

Also try turning off the SEO you have running and see if that makes a difference ...

I turned SEO urls off it didn't changed anything

If you like you can PM the Admin URL and login and password to me and when I get time later today I can look to see if there is anything obvious that is incorrect ...

I turned off the Price by Attributes on products_id 470 and the pricing works fine ...

Your products are NOT Price by Attribute ...

They have Attributes that increase the price, but the price itself is not using the attributes to build the display price ...

So turn off the Price by Attribute on the products and this should work fine for you ... :smile:

Thanks a lot for your help it works fine now.

I have a sale that is supposed to start today and apply to the entire catalog. I have attributes set to some of my products and also price manager. The sale works for the first bracket of the price manager but not for the other brackets. I have set up
1-4: normal price
5-24: 10% off
25-49: 15% off
50+: 30%

Plus my sale is 30% off on top of all that but it only works for 1-4.
I'm thinking its not a attribute problem but a price manager problem. How do I fix it.

I have customers emailing me as they are not able to get their discount as we speak and I am madly trying to work it out. Please help anyone!!!!
