One product Many manufacturers...help please

I have a product that can have many manufaturers. I want to only show the product once, but allow people to find it if they search by any one of 6 manufacturers. Is it possible? Can someone point me in a direction??

Please help. Is there away to show a replacement part that can fit many manufacturers. Our clients tend to shop by manufacturers. The replacement parts we carry fit several manufacturers. Is there a way to have a model number connect to several manufacturers??

Any help or conversation would really help me out on this.

Can you nuke the references to manufacturers all together, change some words around the categories references and cross link the products that way?
ie. make the text over categories say manufacturers, remove the actual manufacturers sideboxes etc?
is there some example of what your trying to do that you can talk about?
