Disable allowing products to go in to the negative

Is there a setting I can change that will disable people being able to checkout with more items than are in stock? Right now, if someone wants 100 of something and I only have 75, it charges for and allows the person to check out with the full 100 and then changes my inventory to -25. Is there a way I can disable this? I can't seem to find the setting.

Good point!

In your admin panel go to configuration-->stock and select "allow check out." Set the value to false.
