Email_Archive DB usefull? how to make thinner my DB?

I have been using zen-cart since later 2004.
but I am not a coder, and have little knowledge of database.

Now I have got a 200MB DB.
As I am using remote hosting, especially when I am in China using American hosting, this big a DB is not freindly to me.

I need to make it thinner.

I found this 'Email_Archive' table in the DB has saved 40000 emails history.

I am considering empty this table.

So just wondering what this table is used for? Is it necessary?
Because I can't find any option for me to look up these emails from admin part.

Also I have no idea any other table that could have been big and can be cleaned?

Besides, I have to keep customers' information.

This table just has copies of emails sent by the forms in your store. You can certainly empty it and you can also stop the store from saving emails (set Configuration->Email Options->Email Archiving Active to false). If you want to look at the data in this table from the admin page, you must download a contribution called Email Archive Manager from

You may also want to consider emptying the admin_activity_log table, and if you have User Tracking installed, that too probably could be cleared out.

The e-mai archive program works great. However, it will not trim e-mails on the 30 day option. The 6 and 12 month choices work fine. Any suggestions? As far as other DB cleanups - is /store manager/admin activity/reset the most useful and practical? Thanks for your help.

Can anyone else confirm that the 30 day option is actually broken? I don't have time to test it right now but will debug it in the next couple of weeks if I get independant confirmation of a problem.

2004g35 is correct, it's working for 6 and 12 months but not for 1 month.
