Creating a more detailed report for products ordered

Hi, i want to creat a more detailed products ordered report. I sell limited edition photographs and want to track what Number photographs i have sold. (some people may buy edition 50/50 while others dont pay the extra and get the next in line ie 18/50)

What i want to do is for each product sold be able to track what edition that photograph is. So i need a report i think that lists each product sold - then expands to show what Size and edition that particular sale was so i dont double up.

The size is captured by attributes - but edition is captured nowhere at the moment.

You can only track data that is captured some how, and i don't really see how you are going to track these edition numbers without creating each photo as a unique product...

Right now, how does a customer order a more desirable edition number? there's no input field for this on your site (VERY NICE LOOKING SITE BY THE WAY) so how do you get this data?

Rather than spending DAYS trying to figure out an easy solution, there may be a more realistic way of doing this...

While it would be LOVELY to have zen cart capable of doing EVERYTHING for us, ther are times when we need to look at how we can augment its power with other applications.

You may consider installing a really great module for starters; SALES REPORT (in Downloads - Admin).

This presents a very comprehensive array of sales data, and can be configured to present sales data in a variety of reports.

What's more, it can EASILY be exported into a CSV file, which MS Excel can cope with, and it's perhaps with MS Excel where your solution lies regarding the input of this unique information.
