I broke it... please help.

Okay. So i tried to install HideCategories because it looked like it would be VERY useful for my purposes.

Anyway, it didn't really work all so super duper wonderful great, caused a little error with my category sidebox. So I took it out. But now.... If i click on any of my lovely categories...

1146 Table '****.TABLE_HIDE_CATEGORIES' doesn't exist
in:
[select visibility_status FROM TABLE_HIDE_CATEGORIES WHERE categories_id = 1 LIMIT 1]

Your gonna think i am soo stupid but no, I didn't back up my database. :oops:

What do i do? Oh please help. :cry:

Well i fixed that problem but now for some weird reason that I cannot find a reason for... my category pages wont load.

I broke mine too. I backed up my categories.php, but I can't figure out what the heck is going on. I followed the hideCategories instructions and it is giving me the same error as you got:

1146 Table 'MY DATABASE_hide_categories' doesn't exist in:
[select visibility_status FROM zen_hide_categories WHERE categories_id = 5 LIMIT 1]

I saw no one helped you, but I thought you might have some insight?

I did read through this discussion and I did use MySQL in my hosting control panel and it still didn't work. My whole site said the hideCategories was missing, which made everything disappear except my header. Everyone says they set up JUST FINE, yet my site implodes on itself. I thought I followed the ReadMe text to a tee.

1. I imported the included SQL info
2. I copied all files to my FTP site into their appropriate file folders
3. CRASH!
