Manufacturer's Side box dropdown text

OK I've gone round and round in the forums and can't quite find this. Where can I change the "Please Select" text on the drop down?

I have already changed everything else but can't quite find this one.

I brought in the big guns (aka hubby) and he can't find it either. He went into the database looking. It's driving us nuts!

If you were to go to Tools ... Developer's Tool Kit ...

Enter in the bottom input box the text you are searching for:
Please Select

and from the dropdown pick the Catalog ...

You will find there are defines for this in the language files ...

Now if you were to look for those defines, example:
PULL_DOWN_ALL

You would notice that this is used in the manufactuers sidebox ...

You could customize the sidebox by copying it to your templates and overrides directory ...
/includes/modules/sideboxes/manufacturers.php
/includes/templates/template_default/tpl_manufacturers_select.php

/includes/modules/sideboxes/your_template_dir/manufacturers.php
/includes/templates/your_template_dir/tpl_manufacturers_select.php

And change what is used in the dropdown in place of the:
PULL_DOWN_ALL

NOTE: PULL_DOWN_ALL is a constant used for many things so you may wish to use your own text on this or create a new define to use ...

from includes/modules/sideboxes/MY_TEMPLATE/manufacturers.php

// Display a list
    $manufacturer_sidebox_array = array();
    if (!isset($_GET['manufacturers_id']) || $_GET['manufacturers_id'] == '' ) {
      $manufacturer_sidebox_array[] = array('id' => '', 'text' => PULL_DOWN_ALL);
    } else {
      $manufacturer_sidebox_array[] = array('id' => '', 'text' => PULL_DOWN_ALL);
    }
```And replaced the PULL_DOWN_ALL with '-My desired text-'  and voila! My hijacking of the manufacturers sidebox so people can shop via an alternate categorizing method is complete :lol:. And all the other dropdowns are unchanged.
