how to set up a 50% downpayment choice for customers?

I want to give my customers to choose a fullpayment and a choice of paying 50% deposit. How should I achieve that?

This is probably best done in ATTRIBUTES.

Set up an attribute called 50% downpayment, and configure it to deduct 50% off the price of the item being displayed. If they select the attribute, it will deduct 50% off the price of the product it is applied to.

However, this won't be a global setting (won't apply to ALL products in the cart.) If your customer adds several products to their cart, they would have to select the attribute each time they add a product to the cart.

I would make it a payment module, myself.

I've never worked with ZenCart before and am currently doing my research for a e-commerce site that I have to build for a client. There is a range of particulars the clients wants to have - including 'dual pricing', which I found the module for.

Another one is down-payment. So, considering there might be a module coming up for this (which would be great :clap: ), can you through another thing to consider? My client has retail and wholesale buyers. Appart from different prices for the products, there's also a difference in payment method. Wholesale clients will always pay a downpayment (of 30%) and pay the rest with traditional payment methods. Basically, what this means is, I would need to be able to set the Down-Payment Module so that it checks on client 'status' and then decides automatically that this client needs to pay 100% up-front or 30% downp-payment.

Does that make sense?

Anyhow. Is somebody working on such a module? Generally, I'd be willing to do it - but I'm completely new to ZenCart - it would take forever for me to first figure out everything that there is to know before being able to program the module.

Would be good to know if there's such a module in production/planning? And a time-frame to it (so that I can talk to my client).

what about if the downpayment are not as an attribute? but more to the compulsory downpayment of let's say 20% from the total value of the cart?

But I'm also looking have a payment module or total order module that allows us to enforce x% downpayment or 100% prepayment for the order made depending on an extra attribute.:P

Is there any addon for this feature?:D
