My Banners won't show

I have installed new zen 1.3.6, default template. Everthing was fine... I deleted all banners and then created few, and now the banners won't show up. I have enabled the banner in the banner Manageger as well activated every option for any type of banner in the side box control.

When I go to my banner managment I can see my banner active, I can edit or even view it but it just doesnt show up on the site....

Any idea?

What is the name of the Banner Group(s) that you used?

Did you setup the Banner Groups on the Configuration ... Layout Settings ... to use those groups?

Have you an URL that we can peek at to make sure that your advertising blocks such as from Zone Alarm, or Norton Internet Security etc. are not blocking your own banners from you?

Thanks for thr help, I didnt know about Configuration-->layout setting. The problem was that I had deleted all groups and my new group was not belonged to any thing in th elayout setting.

Thanks for the update that adding your new Banner Group to the list of Banner Group settings in the Layout Settings for where to display the banners worked for you ... :smile:

My banners are showing, but the images are not working. The zen banners were all showing images fine. I updated the zen banners with my banner information, and uploaded the pictures to just the image/ folder. When the images didn't appear, I moved the images to images/banners. When they still didn't appear I searched the forums and saw that people were suggesting not using the banners/ folder, so I created a new folder - images/affiliates, and moved the banner images to that folder. I also updated the banners in the banner manager to show the new location of the images.

The images are still not appearing, and now i'm at a loss since the old images for the zencart banners were working?

Directories called:
banners
ads
affiliates
etc

have in common an issue ... they all implie advertising ... a browser, ad blocker, etc. will block those when configured as such ... :eek:

What are your banners suppose to do?

Note: any banner I click on appears to open a new window and take me to a site ...

I have fixed my JPG banner issue but cant make the "flash" (.swf) type banner to work... what is the trick? and can you please guide me in steps?:flex:
