Mass Reset Customer Passwords

For some reason, I have been contacted twice in the last week about statements I previously made about the ability to update a customer’s hashed password field. Those are old, long buried remarks and the people who contacted me were really digging to find a solution to their problems.

I have submitted a contribution **Mass Reset Customer Passwords **to make the process of finding the information a little easier for the next member.

This contribution contains a zipped Excel file with SQL version of the PHP code ZenCart uses to create the hashed password. With it you can update one customer record or migrate a DB into ZenCart and create thousands of correctly hashed passwords in a few minutes.

Is there any way you could create an addon to change customer's passwords as needed from the admin panel?

I get emails from customers saying they never receive the password reset email.

This would be a nice feature to have. Some customers are cluless or technophobic about resetting their passwords.

I have to log into the customers account, change their email to mine and use the forgot password link. Once I reset their password than I have to change the email back to theirs, log back into their account and change the password for them.

Would be nice to have a way to just change a customers pass from admin if needed.:flex:

I believe you can do that with some addon, now i dont remember which though.
