Shipping setup problem

I have a shipping issue.....I want to have 3 zones (us, ca, rest of world(00)) with table rates
example:
US
1-5 items: 4.40
6-10 item: 8.95
$100-up: free

ca
1-5 items: 7.50
6-10 items: 10.50
$100-up: free

international
1-5 items: 9.50
6-up items: 22.50

the glitch appears to be going from item to price for the free.....How do I set this up? I've searched and I can't find on the board this exact set up (probably there but didn't find) My shipping icons are yellow also and I'm not sure I set up the zones correctly either.

Here is a trick ...

Set the Modules ... Order Totals ... Shipping ot_shipping to Free shipping on orders over 100.00 for not international ...

Does this work now for everyone except canada on orders at $100+ ...

Works perfect for US orders, would it be possible to do for Canada but not other international orders?

That is the trick to the fix ...

At the moment ... not enough coffee to figure this out and I have to leave ... :cool:

But once that zone is resolved to not exclude the canadians in your International skip ... all your shipping should work correctly ... :cool:

I have a problem: I upgraded from v1.2.7 to v1.3.7.

When I load the shopping page I can not see any differences except for the Ze Cart sign at the bottom of the page.

I also go the the Tools/Server Info in my Admin and the version is stil exist 1.2.7.

After the upgrade I received the confirmation page saying: Congratulations! You have successfully installed Zen Cart on your system! and all the Next steps that should be done.

Now my question is Do I need to do anything else to complete the process?

I did the following because both files were empty:
a) Copy the old configure.php file from /admin/includes/ to the /zen-new/admin/includes.
b) Copy the old configure.php file from /includes to zen-new/includes.
c) I did the upgrade over the existing database.

I just follow all the steps on the prompt after starting the process (https://www.mydomain.com/ze_new/zc_install/index.php%29.

Please help me on this matter!

Did you make a new database with a copy of the old database and change the database, username and password in the 2 configure.php files?

Or, did you upgrade the old database?

When you ran the /zc_install did it say Install or Upgrade?

If you go to the /zc_install and click on Upgrade, are any of the checkboxes checked?

Did you load all of the files from a clean Zen Cart v1.3.7 from our download at the top of your screen to your site?

Did you load those files over top your existing files or make a new directory?

If you made a new directory, did you edit the 2 configure.php files to reflect the new path to the files etc.?

Unzip the v1.3.7; upload all the files to a new directory. I did not change anything. All did was copy the configure.php to the new folder with v1.3.7 for both new-folder/admin/includes and new-folder/includes because both files were empty.

After that I run the process for each check both separate until I reach the Upgrade DB from 1.3.6 to 1.3.7 check box. I thought it runs accumulative but because I did not see any differents in the shooping page that's why I run it that way, because then I thought again that the process does not run accumulative versions.

The upgrade screen showed up all the information about the old version, database, user, password and then I assumed that was all the process need to run.

By the context of your message I can imagine you are joking! But just in case I think you must go to a authorized distributor that can help you out in that! The only thing I know about wine in just drink it! If you have some that could share with me that would be fine with me! eeeeh, ha...ha...ha...he :laugh:

NO wine to UTAH
No more then 36 bottles to: Delaware, Vermont, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland and Tennesse.

As u are from New York u can buy the all shop if u want.

Now if u know I can I manage that it it will very nice.

You would need a products_shipping_laws table that can manage the rules the extend beyond "buy what you want" based on the laws for that zone and products_id ...

How complicated this might get could depend on what all needs to be broken out ...

those posted before are more or less all the limitations that I need but really don't know how to manage that.
I was thinking that for example as I can not to ship to Utah I can take Utah off from the list of the states so when someone will try something like"No shipping available to the selected state/or country" will appear.
More difficult will be to set a limitation for the others states/country.

Don't really know how to manage that!!!

If the laws of UTAH says that **"no wine can be received by mail"* it means that "no wine can be received by mail" and it also mean that if a costumer want to buy even one bottle of wine "I can not send it to him" !!!

Second thing: people asking qwestions in the forum are expecting at least intelligent answers, that maybe aren't able to resolve their problems but intelligent.

1. I really was following this as a Joke because this law does not looks logical to me (I have not heard about that before), but just in case I seriously consider that maybe (If you are not joking) any distributor having experience with that could help better thant me. I really apologize if this cause you inconvenients but I was not expecting this kind of actitude.

2. I am not in, any way, unrespecting you or any body else. Also I am not stupid, but very smart, thanks God ( I hate to talk about meyself but you offended me). If something I really have majority that is respect and integrity. For me every person has values. No like many people nowadays think that values do not counts.

3. My time is very valuable and used very smart in something that I can get some added values back. I never bother any body.

4. I have been exchanging information with many people over the forum and every doby is allways very respectful and so am I with every one. No even electronically where I can no see people but personally to every one.

5. I do not know what you want to say if I have something in mind that I wnat to heard to, but I can tell you that my mind and my hard are under absolutely peacefulness. So I can understand your assumptions even when we do not know each other.

Then if u click on "Carrier Prohibited" u will read that FedEx and UPS does not ship to this region from both onsite and offsite sales.
There is not only those two that my client can use (it depends of the State) but the law is the same for everyone.

Now, my client use to ship all over the word with one of the biggest shipping group in Italy then when products are in the States there is no way that even a bottle of wine can reach the costumer.

And in plus some other States have other kind of restrictions as i.e. no more then 36 bottle to Florida but to manage that it is easy: an e-mail to the client and u split the shipping in two times.

So that's it

I am also really sorry, because since the beginning I could not imaging such a law!. I never tried to cheat you but the law. Again please pardon me and forgive the inconvenients.

I also understood that it was a distribution problems and you want a way to configure your online storage so customer can be able to place an order and you be able to do the shipping accordingly. This is way I thought, in case the law is real, maybe a distributor could help because they now the process of that law.

I feel so bad for initiating this conflict, but please do not be mad and YOU COUNT WITH A FRIEND ON ME! EVEN THOSE WE DO NOT KNOW EACH OTHER!. I love making new friends because if you have people wherever you go then you have most of the things you need. But it is really funny, since I moved from my contry to USA it has been very difficult for me to accomplish this 100%. What I realice is that most of the people go to the bar or discoteck and over there make friendship. Then I do not like that kind of live that much, I define myself like a very peaceful person. I can visit a bar or discoteck once in a while. And other thing over here is that every body is normaly involved in he/her owns activities and do not have too much time left. So what can I do if not go with the flow!. I know this is something personal but just I told you so you can see a little of what kind of person I am.

Make sure that the configure.php files in:
/includes/configure.php
/admin/includes/configure.php

that are on the server match the NEW database and have the NEW paths to the NEW files ...

Then look in the NEW /admin and look at the Tools ... Server Info ...

Paste everything from below the menubar up to and including the large PHP VERSION XXX.XXX
