My fight with TemplateMonster

Hello All

I bought a very expensive template a year ago that I had not used. I tried to install it in my cart but it would not work with 1.3 zen cart new version. What I did was that I reinstalled 1.2 and I was able to upload you can see it at :**www.usbrokerscloset.com**. Now.. I cannot get in the admin panel at all.
After installing version 1.2 it will not let me login with the admin UN and PW and it wont email it to us either. I've dropped the admin table in the mySQL database and edited the admin table according to suggestions in their support forums but it still willl not work. There is no phone nunber that I can find in the Zen Page to talkl with someone live, I need to get my cart going... Please help if you can.

Ajeh, all carts look the same as they are handle by the same team. They are a maffia and they are selling old version templates, that is why no one can get into the admin section. They do not tell people because they do not talk nor answer phone calls. They just ring the cash register! Their bank has almost $400.00 from my side, letting me believe that is me who does not know anything about templates. Boy I have learned a lot in these 3 weeks batteling with Monster Template and his affiliates! Where you aware of it?????

This is a email letter I want all of you to read, see what is happening with Monster Template and all his affiliates. Do not think that your admins section is not working for any other reason that : THE TEMPLATES THEY ARE SELLING EVERYBODY ON THE WEB ARE OLD VERSION PHP/MYSQL's, and they want you to Downgrade in order to sell you their templates!!!!!!!!

According to Tech Support from Monster Template Desk Support Team on ticket item OIP-314543,

Template for Os Commerce 2.2 with # 9794 - Is for the old software version PHP4 / MySQL4, - not the current hosting versions.

The current software version offered now by all hosting companies including my hosting company is:

MySQL version: 4.1.10

PHP Version 5.2.0

This template # 9794 is not working because of this reason, and I think you have to know about this if you are in this business. My wife was never told on the phone that this template was an older version, and she purchased believing the person whom she spoke on the phone before buying the template and told her all your templates were ready to go, - talked to a person by the name of Scott in GA, then in Texas handling problems, in turned, she was told to find a “Mechanic”…well she did, and the Mechanic told her what you read above. Mr. Scott from https://www.snerdy.com never told my wife about the templates being an older version than current hosting companies.

I want a refund Or A template compatible to my hosting company version. I am not going to downgrade hosting current versions and I am sure not going to give away $140.00. All Monster Templates are old versions or Software Version 4, as per software specifications, never explained to my wife.

Your critical attention to this matter is very important, for there is BBB available as well as and other avenues to recuperate my money or exchange of templates with current PHP and MySQL versions, in which case I would not like to have to proceed, just resolve this issue once and for all with you.

Wow.. you all.... I forgot to tell you that while talking with Mr. Scott from https://www.snerdy.com on the phone... he had the nerves to tell me that HE WAS NOT GOING TO GIVE A REFUND BECAUSE I WAS OWNER OF AN INTANGIBLE ITEM...

Also, that He sells templates by the hour and he sells Parts like when you go get a part for your car. He cannot recommend anybody because he is having problems, jus go to a website for Web Developers and find myself a mechanic and pay him to fix my problem!

Little that he knows that besides the Mechanichs from Monster Template, I have a family member that is a Web Developer/Designer for Yahoo.com, so I do not have to go to no directory!!

In the meantime, he is drinking wine and bear with my $140.00 for the second Template I bought thinking my frist Zen Template for $150.00 I had purchased by mistake.

The problem here is that they are a Maffia, and KNOW, THEY KNOW what they have in the web, and they do not explain or get the phone and talk to customers, then they blame us with incompatability of experience on templates and so on.... IT IS A SCAM AND A TRICK THEY ARE PLAYING WITH PEOPLE.

All of you that think that you are doing something wrong with your Carts and Templates...IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT!!!!!, Monster Template and his affiliates KNOW IS NOT YOUR FAULT, BUT THEY DO NOT TELL, BECAUSE IF THEY DO, their Cash Register DOES NOT RING!

Hope all you New Customer be aware of what is going on.

I will keep you posted if they refunded my money or exchanged the template.

I promissed you I will keep you posted on this thread. This is what I've received from Mr. Paul Krakwosky......I wonder if I am receiving email from Paul/USA or from Viktor Navorski - Steven Spielger "The Terminal"-Krukoshia???
He wants me to downgrade my hosting to 4. This means that him and Mr. Scott in GA are going to drink $140.00 worth of wine and beer on me for the second time, because the other $150.00 they already converted in H2O.

Those of you that have said in this forum that Downgrading is never a good Idea, please take note. Also take note that he is not even considering of exchanging the template so I don't have to downgrade my hosting. Customer Service everyone?? ....This is not America for sure..... for those of you that are real native of this great country! Take Note:

SOFTWARE REQUIRED:
Hosting with PHP4x and MySQL4x;
Apache only (on Unix/Freebsd/Linux/Windows);
osCommerce runs on most server specific configurations ranging from dedicated servers to shared servers that utilize different PHP configurations such as register_globals (should be ON) and safe_mode restrictions;
Macromedia Dreamweaver (or any php-editor);
Adobe Photoshop 7+;

You may also notice the disclaimer in the shopping cart, which requests to check again the contents of your cart and software requirements. I believe that this template was present in your shopping cart for the reason that you liked it and it's supposed to meet your hosting requirements.

Please, mind that php5 version has been released in 2003 year and currently it's still in development and testing. As for php 4.x version it's much more stable, consistent and time-proved version but not an old software as you call it. That's why we recommend our customers to use php 4.x version. In these concerns we suggest you go back to php 4.x stable configuration which is available at any affordable hosting provider. Then it should work properly. Thanks for understanding.

If you have the time, you can start by reading that my first purchased was for Zen Template. If you don't like to read and this topic does not interest you, just turn the page and to to another post.

There are many people like me that are being taking for a ride with their money. I am pretty sure that you will act the same way if the $400.00 were yours.

Please keep your comments if they are not going to be helpful to the rest. Just move to another topic, if this is one for you.

now once again why are you pounding the Zen cart forum with your gripe about a template that was designed for ANOTHER CART

and Yes I would be upset if I bought a ZEN CART template and it didnt work for ZEN CART.

Since the cart that you have DISPLAYED is an OSCOMMERCE cart (zen dosnt use the /filename.php links as can be seen here http://usbrokerscloset.com/login.php)
