Need a second set of eyes - please

I have the oddist thing here - On my left column boxes the links are doing something strange when clicked. When you actually click the link, for a second the link changes to a dark blue - bold - problem is - I've not programmed it that way - I've picked through the css till I'm blind trying to figure out what silly thing is causing this. I know its something stupid (always is...LOL) Would someone sharp in css take a quick look and see if they can figure this one out?

Also, on that note - I'm trying to control the appearance of the titles on the Specials page without much success. There isn't a class assigned to the itemTitle on this page and I can't find where I can add one in the tpl_specials_default.php either. Ideas here would be really helpful.

Your stylesheet has a group of link declarations near the top (a:link, a:active, a:hover etc.)
A:active controls the link while it is being clicked. Usually that is over so fast you never see it, but if the connection was slow you might catch a glimpse.

If it bothers you, change the values to match a:link.

There are a bunch of different a:active settings. I can't figure out which one is causing it. There are also some settings that don't look like valid css.

I'll take a look, but none of them (a:active) are that color blue. I did validate the css and except for an "&" in a product title that I need to change the css all validated along with the pages. I'll go through them again and see if I can find the culprit. It's all very strange.

Any ideas on the Specials Title controls?

Ok, I found the problem, but it kills my link colors on my little menu on the right.

The code I had was:

#rightBannerMenu a, a:active {
color: #003399;
font-weight:bold;
}

To fix it I had to remove the a:active - but it screws up that menu. I can't understand why that identifier is messing with the left hand links. Take a look and you can see as I made the change.

Try changing it to this:

#rightBannerMenu a, #rightBannerMenu a:active {
color: #003399;
font-weight:bold;
}

That did the trick! Thanks - I don't know why I didn't do it that way in the first place. Getting tired I guess....
