EXTRA CC ORDER info = $EMAIL_MESSAGE_HTML

On a new Zen cart, when placing a test order, I'm recieving an order confirmation email that only says:

Order Confirmation No: 3
$EMAIL_MESSAGE_HTML

And an [EXTRA CC ORDER info] email that only says:

[EXTRA CC ORDER info] #3
$EMAIL_MESSAGE_HTML

Because I had a few instances where some files did not load properly during installation, I reloaded the email_extras.php file but with no change.

Any idea what may be causing this?

I am still unable to resolve this issue.

If I run this query in the Developers Tool Kit, I get:

Error: No matching Configuration Keys were found ... $EMAIL_MESSAGE_HTML

Thanks for any suggestions on what may be the culprit.

Are the files in your /email folder intact ?

Look at the /docs folder for the documentation on HTML-formatted emails as a reference to how that whole infrastructure works.

DrByte - Thanks for responding. I've confirmed that all files are intact and have even reloaded them all from the original download folder to be certain.

I've also looked over the documentation you recommended and can see that the keywords "$EMAIL_MESSAGE_HTML" are not being replaced with active HTML as they should be. However, I have no idea what may be the root cause of this or what steps I might follow to correct the situation. Any ideas? :(

Try re-uploading /includes/functions/functions_email.php

:no: Thanks for the suggestion - unfortunately it did not resolve the issue.

As per a recommendation from Merlin I also re-uploaded the the includes/classes/ files but again, it did not resolve this issue.

All other email functions seem to be normal. The issue seems to be restricted to the Order Confirmation and the [EXTRA CC ORDER info] emails, both of which continue to only send $EMAIL_MESSAGE_HTML instead of calling the appropriate active HTML as they should be. :huh:

Anyone else have any suggestions for this frustrating problem?

Because I'm using Jade's Apple Zen template on this particular site, I thought to post my query directly to that thread. Unfortunately Jade doesn't have any idea what the problem may be and doesn't feel that it is template related.
I'm really at wits end here. I can't imagine what might be causing this and time is running short, as this is a client site. :unsure:

So as not to cause any more problems, I wanted to confirm something first: If I go to admin/tools/Template Selection and switch to the classic template for testing purposes, I can then just switch back to Apple Zen without any ramifications, correct?

Question: In the "How does the HTML email template system work?" document there is a TEMPLATE SYSTEM KEYWORDS MATRIX list that associates key words that are replaced with active HTML by the various modules with their active HTML counterpart. What I don't see on that list is [EXTRA CC ORDER info] and it's association. Why is that?

I have a partial resolution: A modified version of header_php.php in includes/modules/pages/checkout_process was stopping the Order Confirmation from generating properly.

I've yet to locate the culprit behind the [EXTRA CC ORDER info] - $EMAIL_MESSAGE_HTML issue but more than likely it is module-related as well. I'm having a more difficult time tracking it down as the $EMAIL_MESSAGE_HTML keyword is more generic.

It doesn't seem that I did alter that page because a copy of it would then normally be in a test file. However because I have absolute faith in your hunches, I re-uploaded that file and the problem has been resolved.
