Custom.php Gets Silverfish Treatment?

I have decided to use this link exchange highway. They had me create a new php and they feed it somehow. I dont understand php and have never had time for a tutorial. ( know of a video tutorial? ) . I did make the page ( wasnt hard, dreamweaver did most of the work! ) and everything is fine. So since they're so anal about it, I couldnt put an EZpage in my footer with the internal link.
Had to actually put the link in my footer.

Problem is that is has ZERO beauty. Its just white with links. How do I apply my sites template ( Silverfish ) to that page? Its location is /YUP_THE_ROOT .
Thanks,
John

Re: Custom.php Gets Silverfish Treatment?

I have tryed the following and it didnt work.

<head>

<title>Links Highway</title> <meta name="Description" content="<?=$_SERVER['SERVER_NAME']?> allows you to exchange links with other web sites."> <meta name="Keywords" content="Links, Links Highway, Link Exchange, Link Partners, Instant Links, Reciprocal Links, Link Directory"> <link href="includes/templates/silverfish/css/stylesheet.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"> </head>

Should this have worked? Looks right.

           Thanks,
                       John

Re: Custom.php Gets Silverfish Treatment?

Okay. Well this gets all my background color n stuff right but its still not giving my header and side boxes.

<head>

<title>Links Highway</title> <meta name="Description" content="<?=$_SERVER['SERVER_NAME']?> allows you to exchange links with other web sites."> <meta name="Keywords" content="Links, Links Highway, Link Exchange, Link Partners, Instant Links, Reciprocal Links, Link Directory"> <<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="includes/templates/silverfish/css/stylesheet.css"> </head>

like I said. It almost works.

No She Didnt. She asked me why do i keep posting threads about SEO and closed it.
Only She Must've not read it first because it was exactly what this one is.

Is there a problem here with asking questions?

oo oo oo * wave hand in air* can I try?.....LOL

Well just calling the stylesheet on that page doesn't do you any good unless you go into the file building the page and add class/ids to match whats in the stylesheet. As it is all styling is inline. Time to add classes to the table elements and remove the inline stuff.

How did I do?......LOL

Re: Custom.php Gets Silverfish Treatment?

didnt think id need to go the class ids. im not trying to change fonts & like that.
Just want the new php page to be surrounded by my site like every other page is. But it calling that style sheet somehow the surrounding background color changed to match my store.
Thanks for the reply. Ideas on how to?

Re: Custom.php Gets Silverfish Treatment?

The background changed because every page your site generates, whether its a zc page or not, has a body tag and your calling the same stylesheet that you use for the zc pages. The stylesheet won't call the sideboxes

Haven't tried it but maybe this thread will help http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37252&highlight=php+ezpages
