Initial HTTP(s) locations set to dedicated IP. Now I have a domain. Only 1 problem.
So I used to just run this web site off of a dedicated IP (http://208.109.212.191/) while my domain transfered from the old registrar to the new one. So now I have www.undergroundsmoke.com.
Only one problem. Everywhere the location of the website is referred to, it's to the dedicated IP.
I changed some information in includes/configuration.php to show undergroundsmoke.com instead of the IP, but it still shows the IP.
Then I was wondering what admin/configuration & admin/includes/dist-configuration.php were for?

Re: Initial HTTP(s) locations set to dedicated IP. Now I have a domain. Only 1 problem.
Since you are using no cache this is really kind of misteriouos!
I suspect that you are not editing the right file. Maybe you think you do, but you don't... You said that you transfered the domain to a new registar and I assume also a new host. . -> Did you change the config files at the new registar or the old one?
Maybe your site hasn't moved yet to your new location. The domain is currently administrated by Godaddy.
Re: Initial HTTP(s) locations set to dedicated IP. Now I have a domain. Only 1 problem.
Is this correct?
You had a site on your server configured to be accessed via IP address.
Your configure.php files on the server were marked read-only to supress the warnings and to secure the site.
You have a local copy of those files on your PC.
You edited the files on your PC to change the IP address to the domain name.
You attempted to upload your changes via FTP
When testing the site after upload, you discover that the changes haven't taken effect.
Are you sure your uploads were successful? If the files were marked read-only on the server, perhaps you need to make them read-write before uploading. Then make them read-only after the upload is successful.
