What is better to use with search engines and PR in mind?
http://www.domain.com or http://domain.com

I am talking about the path settings in the configure.php.

I am wondering what the impact is for the search engines and if this matters at all. As far as I know, consistency is the key. Meaning, link exchange should use the same format so the PR goes to one version of the two. Any other thoughts why one should use one or the other?

Personally, I hate www. this and www. that! :D But, your question is a valid one. I actually am not to clear on SEO stuff (if it's at all possible to be). However, I mitigate the question by redirecting all non-www. url requests that come in to my sites to the www.domain version. Then if a customer, like myself, can use the non-www version if they want and it still goes to the site.

Search engines like it too.

BTW, it's a simple redirect.
Put this in your .htaccess file.

RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^domainname.(.)
RewriteRule ^(.)$ http://www.domainname.com/$1 [R=301,L]

Oh, and to further that post, if and when you get a SSL certificate, get it for the www dot domainname dot (com,net,...) version . Then you'll be all set! ;)
