Another Change Header on Category Question

I have tried both methods that I have found to change the image that is displaying on the top of each category page, via just stylesheets and via the code I found that puts them all in one style sheet and make changes to your tpl header file.

I gotta say the second one work(s) a lot easier for me - EXCEPT on category#1

The category 1 (which shows in the URL as cpath=1 ) absolutely refuses to change from the default header.
