Multiple images not displaying with Image Handler 2

I installed Zen Cart 1.3.7 with IH2. It works fine with the first image, but the additional images don't show up in the product info page, even though I see them in IH2 manager and in the "images" folder. I set "admin>configuration>images>Product Info - Number of Additional Images per Row" to 3. I also switched to default template, still only one image shows up.

When I remove IH2 and ftp the images according to this tutorial: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=58
it works fine, all the images show up, but as soon as I turn on IH2, the additional images disappear. Can someone give me some hint? Thanks.

Re: Multiple images not displaying with Image Handler 2

I would like some help on this issue too. Before I upgraded to 1.3.7, I had no problem with additional images. Now, since I upgraded and reinstall IH, I am having problems with additional images showing up.

Before I give some examples of what I am having a problem on and what I am striving for, let me just say that I have tried some suggestions on getting additional images to show. I have checked in my "Show Product Additional Images" is set to "1". I have checked to make sure that my "tbl_product_info_display.php" has the code "Additional images" in it. It does. Last but not least, I have tried:

image01.jpg
image02.jpg
image03.jpg

Still no go! :(

Now I have gotten to the point where I am stumped. Please help.

Here's an example of one of my products that I am having trouble getting the additional image to show up:

http://www.mistys-specialty-gifts.biz/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=76&products_id=672

Here's an example of what I am striving for:

http://www.vintageclothing.ie/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4&products_id=187

MSGOK, remove IH2 and manually upload the images via ftp, if you see multiple images there then you and I have the same problem. It seems like IH2 suppresses the additional images.

Re: Multiple images not displaying with Image Handler 2

I have the same problem. The other images are there when I turn IH2 off but disappear when it is on. I can also see the other images in the IH2 Manager.

This is a fresh install/upgrade from 1.2.7 where the old version of IH was working fine.

One other thing I noticed: for the one product that I added images for using IH2, when I look at it under IH2 admin there are no "delete" buttons under the med and large sizes. All the other products (which were added under 1.2.7) have "delete" buttons.

I really would like to have a better way to add multiple images that Zen's default way. I was hoping this would be added in 1.3 :(

I just uninstalled IH2 and my additional images showed up.

Re: Multiple images not displaying with Image Handler 2

This version of IH2 (2.0 v0916) is designed to work with Zen Cart 1.3.5. I believe it needs to be updated to work with ZC 1.3.7 or later

Re: Multiple images not displaying with Image Handler 2

I'm new to IH2, just began tesing it today on my test ZC 1.3.6 here:
http://www.catholic-view.com/ZenCartTest/

IH2 seems to be working on those test products I set it on.

Will IH2 work on my live sites when I upgrade to ZC 1.3.7?

I suppose I could install a test 1.3.7 and see...but if anyone already knows if IH2 is/is not compatible with 1.3.7 it'd help to know.

Thanks.

PS: I turned off the "zoom" (?) function on IH2 for small pics.

Re: Multiple images not displaying with Image Handler 2

Yes, IH2 works on ZC 1.3.7. I found a solution to display multiple images: after uploading images with IH2, click the Admin tab within this module and unintall it. When you need to upload images again, re-install IH2. It's not a best solution but the install/unintall only takes seconds so it does not bother me much.

Thanks for the tip.

Multiple product images are a must for us, showing different colors and views.

And for that reason, we often must upload alot of images using the default ZC format: small, _MED, _LRG.

IH2 seems like it should be an improvement...not yet certain.

Hope it doesn't "break", with us having to constantly install & uninstall.

Make sure whenever you need to add/remove images, turn on IH2 and use this tool instead of manually uploading/removing via FTP, you should be OK.

Re: Multiple images not displaying with Image Handler 2

Discovered my problem with IH2 on ZC 1.3.6. I failed to upload/overwrite IH2's files:

includes/modules/main_product_image
includes/modules/additional_images

Got it working, additional product images show.

But uninstalled IH2 from ZC admin, site already built ZC way. And re-uploaded original ZC files above. Nice to know works for future, though.

Thanks! I had the same problem. I will blame coreFTP it's being a pain lately.

Re: Multiple images not displaying with Image Handler 2

Hi,

Just finished creating a store with 3000+ items, using standard ZenCart 1.3.8a with only minor CSS tweaking, Easy Populate 1.2.5.4, and IH2. It's at this link.

Things have gone utterly without a hitch, except that I spent too much time getting additional images to show up with IH2 enabled. Ultimately, I found the only way to do so without changing source code as advised in this thread was to name the additional images serially with an underscore, as in:

image100.jpg,
image100_1.jpg, etc.

I didn't want to change any source code where the client could get into trouble down the road with updates.

Anyway, thought I would post that here in the hopes that others in the same position would save a bit of time.

And also, wanted to thank this community for the great resources of the FAQ and forums, not to mention a superb product!

Re: Multiple images not displaying with Image Handler 2

There is a folder called "shopad" in the zip. This folder is not mentioned in the readme but when I uploaded the contents of "shopad" to my server the addition images would then be displayed even with IH2 was turned on. However after I uploaded the files and got this to work the main product image was trying to come from the "images/medium" folder where no image existed, after trying to fix this and fixing another error, I just decided to remove what I had done, but then when I had removed most of the files the system worked perfectly.
I am sorry for the confusion but the answer may lay in the folder called "shopad", but I recommend backing up your files before using it

Re: Multiple images not displaying with Image Handler 2

I have a site working fine with IH/ additional images.
Installed the same on a new domain and simply cannot get additional images to load. I've spent a day reading everything I can find and trying to work out why additional images don't load but still cannot get them working.
I even copied the same, working, files over from the other domain but nothing.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction to get this working as this is all that's stopping the site being released.

TIA.

Thanks schoolboy - this one seemed to fix it.
