Problems with html in product listing.

Hi there,

I have set up a zen cart for someone and everything was working well. Then she amended a product and since then I have this strange problem.

If I go into any product and add something to the description, everything is fine unless I try to put in some html. Even adding '<br>' will give the result that when I press the 'Preview' button, I get redirected to the main website. ie it leaves the zen admin bit.

For example

going from

www.domain.com/cart/admin/balhblah which if we imagine is a new or edited product with some html, after pressing preview, i end up at www.domiain.com - not even in the cart.

very strange, any ideas?

UPDATE: Okay, i've just tried to add some html to a review via admin, and the same thing has happened.....could it be a busted installation even though it was working?

Just wanted to bump this thread and add in the latest

I've now deleted the installation, reinstalled it, import the sql database.....same problem so i thought i may as well start a totally fresh one new database etc.

same problem......as soon as i enter ANY html in any product description box such as '<br />' then on clicking preview i get taken to the root of my website (jessicarobinson.com) which is not the same as the home page for the shop (.com/cart).

so it can't really be something i've done.

Does anyone have any suggestions other than ripping out my hair? I just don't understand why it used to work.

If I were to guess, I would say that your friend put some HTML in her previous description and forgot to close a tag or something. But that would just be a guess!
