Thanks for all your help. I compared all files in Winmerge and the only files that were different from the original Zencart install files were the mods I installed.
Hopefully someone will come along with another suggestion soon.

Did you try the Classic template to see if it worked there? You didn't say...

Yes, as I made changes, I switched templates back and forth.
