MultiSite Module Support Thread

That looks like a great addition :thumbsup:

i installed multisite on my website...

default domain is http://www.hwangza.com (using apple_zen template)

second domain is http://www.yubinsoft.com (using classic template)

there are two problems...

1. products are not showing on mainpage both domains(http://www.hwangza.com/)

2. i forwarded second domain to http://www.hwangza.com. but still showing apple_zen template...

could someone explain my problem?

Can you post the contents of you multisite config files? I think you are missing some settings. And are you sure you installed all the files?

Your 'template' names should not be the 'domain' names. the .com will cause a host of problems unrelated to multisite.

I have a big problem. I've installed this mod but i'm obviously missing something. After i put the install.sql into the SQL-Patch-thing i renamed the folder to fit my admin folder and template folder. I followed every step of the instructions until the end.
Now i had in the Admin-Panel under Tools, the multisite section. But... My shop switched to using the default template. I've tried to find the problem in the template_info or the site_configs but couldnt get it to work.
So after a while i removed all the new files this mod has added. Then i copied the entire admin folder and includes folder from a backup i made earlier to the store overwriting every file in order to get rid off the files edited by this mod. Then i executed the uninstall.sql.
Now the store is still using only the default template and i cant change it. I've tried to rename my template to default_template but when i do that i only get a blank page...
What has happened to my template? :'(

One common problem is file uploading. You clicked that upload button 100 times, even checked the remote server to see if the file is there, but you can't see that it isn't or the 'new' file didn't overwrite the old one.

Multisite uses the template names as the switch. If you can't switch it back after installing and removing this module then the remote files are mismatched, or there's a file or SQL statement lingering that is preventing the native code from working properly.

The native zen cart file wants to see template name in: includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/template_info.php
Then it wants to see the folders that contain the php files named: YOUR_TEMPLATE or it will just load the files found in TEMPLATE_DEFAULT

Regardless you should never change what was in TEMPLATE_DEFAULT before or after installing this or any other mod.

This also assumes there were no errors when you ran the SQL changes?

Thanks for your answer. I was now able to figure it out :) The problem was as u said with uploading. For some reason the configure.php didnt get uploaded (or couldnt be overwritten). Must have missed that. I deleted the configure.php, made the changes in an offline-backup version and re-uploaded it. Works fine :)
Other problem was that my template names as well as the domain name contains the symbol '-' so it got really messy but i got that to work too now :)

do multisite module work on php 5.5.12?

i installed zen1.5.1 on php 5.5.12.

I installed Multisite module... on zen 1.5.1 and php 5.3.3

so you guys can see my website now...

1st domain is hwangza.com (apple_zen)
2nd domain is mtmisty.com (apple_zen)
3rd domain is worldfountain.org (classic)

it is great module. however, there are some problems i can not solve~

1. invoice and packing list do not show adress and store name.

2. i saw "// bof Multi site prepare order-sites pulldown list" in orders.php
   but, i can not see pulldown list in my orders page

i did clean install almost 8 times and read the documentation a lot but i think that now i misunderstand something.

so if you guys want to help me i will let you know my admin page and ftp' password.

I have the same "problem". On my order site there is no drop down menu for the multi site... That doesn't really bother me.
but...
When i generate a invoice there is always just one adress and logo used. It doesnt matter if the order comes from site1 or site2 it just uses the adress and logo from site1... How to change that?

That is as designed at this moment. At one time there was made a start in coding the a dropdown, but it was never finished.

Ok i figured the invoice problem out for me. I can generate 2 different invoice now, one for each shop(template). But i noticed that the order confirmation are also just in the name of the first shop. It doesnt matter where the order was given.
I was able to change the text in the mail for each template but the sender-adress is of course always the adress i specified in the admin menu. I'm trying to change that but im kinda stuck. I inserted a second E-Mail configuration into the SQL-Database. I found the statement that defines the sender adress (line 239 in include/functions/functions_email.php) and if i change it there it works. But how on earth do i tell the functions so pick the correct EMAIL_FROM configuration depending on the template if the shop seems to not recognise that there are 2 "different kind" of orders (one for each template)
Dont have a clue how to get that working :(

so i found some article about CSS Flyout Menu... not 1.3.9. the article was written 2007.

the answer was replacing below codes

To get the parent_id you could use this function:
$chk_parent_id = zen_categories_lookup('10', 'parent_id');

where 10 is the categories_id you want the parent_id and parent_id is passed to indicate the parent_id is what you want returned ...

My website is zen 1.5.0. It is not update.. it is installed clean.

and PHP Version: 5.3.3

and I installed multisite.

It works fine.

However, there is a problem.

i made new admin user who is admin2.

admin can access every admin menus.

admin2 can access limited admin menu including "multisite tools"

I gave admin 2 a permition to access multisite tools in the admin profiles

however, when i try to access multisite tools there is a error message.

below is the message...

"Sorry, your security clearance does not allow you to access this resource.

Please contact your site administrator if you believe this to be incorrect.

Sorry for any inconvenience."

can somebody give me a solution?
