Re: I'm lost

Your "file manager" will be in your server control panel (cPanel, Plesk, etc.). Your host will tell you how to get to that if you don't know.

Your Zen Cart admin can be reached at
http:/ /www.your_domain.com/subfolder_if_you_have_one/admin/

You will have to login with your admin username and password.

Re: I'm lost

I'm confused because if I go into my cpanel file manager and then to the zen cart folder there is only one php file and no other files or folders.

Re: I'm lost

Are you sure your ZC files are uploaded to the server? Do you have ZC installed?

Re: I'm lost

Did you use Fantastico to install the program? You might want to download the program and do a "real" installation. Oh- and you really don't want to use cPanel's file manager for editing php files. Get a good text editor and download the file from your site via FTP, edit and upload.

Re: I'm lost

I feel kinda silly. After my last post I went back to my file manager and systematicly started looking into each and every folder. Low and behold I found that I was looking in the wrong "cart" folder. Instead it was in the "www" folder under "cart". Anyway...Thanky you all for trying to assist me.

Don't feel silly. These things happen after 6 PM.

Now go download notepad++ before you hurt yourself. hehe.

Re: I'm lost

lol. Thanks. Now I got a new problem. Now that I have found were my files are located which files should I download and how should I go about downloading them properly? So far I viewed the file, copied, then pasted and saved it to my computer with crimson editor. When I open the page it only displays in html.

Re: I'm lost

You can only edit the files on your pc; you can't view them in action unless you have a server installed on your pc. This is actually a recommended thing to do, and you can download free server packages which are very easy to use. See this wiki article for a basic description of the process: Making a Local Copy of Your Web Site.
