take payments

im looking to set up my own shop as well as my online store, in the store ill be getting a credit card mechine etc. is there a way in that people can enter there credit card details, then i can just enter them into my credit card mechine in the shop to take payment.

this will be an additional service along side my paypal foronline payments.

also is there a way for people to skip the payment thing if they select a pay over phone option as i could take paymensover the phone as well

Yes, but half of the # will be in the order and the other half mailed to the cart admin and you have to bring these togeather. Easier to use a gateway??

You could rename or clone the pay by check to "Phone in CC Details"

There is an older mod I am going to try and see if I can get to work on a site where a client has a cc machine in her store, it is a phone/fax order form and can be downloaded in the older mod page here: http://www.zen-cart.com/archived_contributions/payment/ named faxphone_payment_v1.0.zip

I just hope it works in 1.37 as is as I am clueless if it doesn't <sigh>

ok how do i do this??

This is in the admin > modules > payment> credit card > edit > Split Credit Card E-Mail Address
From that entry:

If an e-mail address is entered, the middle digits of the credit card number will be sent to the e-mail address (the outside digits are stored in the database with the middle digits censored)

Or if the gateway - look at the options in the admin and in the downloads section and choose one that the terms are agreeable to you
