All orders Appear in Admin but not in PayPal...

I cannot figure out why the server either does not make the api calls to paypal or how to decipher the messages I receive.

The actual paypal customers using paypal process properly.
Zen completes the regular CC transaction, and actually returns to the "Thank you we thank you for your business, order number etc" page but PayPal has no record of ANY api calls. I've double-triple checked settings, removed, reinstalled, copied pasted, etc. still no dice.

ZC 1.37 btw. Linux, shared ssl, mysql...all latest (3/21) PP patches applied...running out of hair...

Any help is much appreciated...

is this issue only happening when user uses paypal express?

If you turn off the stock credit card module and actually use the paypal system do things work?

yes. I initially made a payment thru my paypal acct that worked. This being my first total custom (not canned) site it seemed good to me and them too...til the other orders came in and noone knew that they weren't actually processing...client now thinks I'm holding their $200 (as if). that order still shows up in admin-paypal ipn but no others...they all show up as cc orders.

Kim, I don't know. At this point I'm willing to drive to the customers house with a change belt and write a receipt with a crayon if I have to. I haven't done that cause ZC 137 is ready for PP and even PP says so, so I just went with what seemed right. Is that a better way? Sounds good to me if so!

since you have the CC Module turned on peolpe are putting their CC information there, not going to paypal.

Yes turn OFF the CC module, then contact your customer and let them know that there is NO charge to their CC

okay, the cc mod is off (so simple), but there are 4 orders there that they want to ship but not without auth. how can I get those thru ppal...or can I without client intervention?

not without client intervention.

you can blame a server failure. and that you can verify that their cards have NOT been charged.

I'm gonna try a purchase with 100% discount on my personal card to verify, but if that's all there is...I have spent too much time on the wrong things.

Curious though, how can I prove no charge was ever made? :blink:

most can login and check when ever they want

so I just did it on the paypal site after turning off the mod (screen shot attached) but get nothing whatsoever from Paypal still. ???

In other words, I created a new account on the paypal cart with separate address and card and nothing has changed...the cart looks like it worked, paypal hasn't a clue...they're not alone! what am I missing?

1. You appear to have debug logging enabled. Please verify:

2. Do you have the latest patch applied?

3. Do you have any log files in your /includes/modules/payment/paypal/logs folder? If not, make sure "log to file" is enabled, and the logs folder is writable (chmod777) and do a test transaction again.
   Remember - you can refund the transaction from PayPal so the transaction doesn't cost you anything.
   Once you've done the test transaction, post a zip of the log files in the logs folder.
   There should be some clues in there ...
