Backing up with CPanel

Backing up with CPanel

Hi guys and gals!

Just wondering how I'm supposed to back up my site with CPanel. Is there supposed to be a way to back up in there (easily.. like a dummy button for us newbies)?

Log into your domain CPanel, look for backups image,
click image, then home directory, download, then
Download a MySQL Database Backup..click
name of your database/s, download.

well.. that would be ok.. but.. there's no back up image.. hmmm I asked my host about it and they didn't know what I was talking about..

at the end of your url in cpanel
right after the /x/ ( this is the template ) put this
/backup/index.html

its a direct link,

ain't that funny.. that link doesn't work. I guess since my host charges $40 to restore BU's I'll never be able to do it myself! What a crock.

just download the files using ftp and then back up the DB by either using phpmyadmin or using the module for zen backup

Your cPanel should have, somewhere, either an icon or a link that says MySQL Databases. Click on that and you will be taken to MySql Account Maintenance. Scroll down past your current databases all the way to the bottom of the page and you should see a link (at my host it doesn't look like a link until you hover) called phpMyAdmin.

None of my business but you might want to consider moving to Camalot hosting. I hear they have some great round table parties. haha.
