Basic paypal IPN problem...doesn't show the item name on paypal

Hello,
i'm using zencart 1.3.6 and Paypal Ipn as the payment module. I have noticed after checking out, on the paypal page the item name doesn't show up as my shopping cart. It makes it quite difficult for me to understand what item customer actually ordered. I would like to use paypal ipn than paypal express.
Any support would be very appreciable.

zen cart sends a detailed receipt ( provided your ipn is set up correctly )
paypal chokes on discounts so it must be sent as a single total to overcome this

I tried with single total also..still having the same problem.....i have updated with the latest patch for paypal.....quantity and item name still not showing up on paypal ......i can't figure out what the customer has ordered...
can't tell the problem...really need support here..

can't tell the problem...That's because your server and PayPal's server aren't communicating properly.

sorry for discussing about this old topic again but i have the same problem as sunny747 has.. In paypal, it shows only these two things and then the total

Store Receipt $100 (for example)

Which also means when that when the customer sends the money through paypal, what i will get on paypal IPN is just "store receipt" right??

Correct.

If you want detailed cart transactions, use Express Checkout instead.
