Change all products to taxable goods
Is there a way to "flip a switch" and all products would have a tax class of TAXABLE GOODS. They are currently set to NONE.
Any ideas?

Totally Zenned
you need to run the following query in phpmyadmin
UPDATE zen_products SET products_tax_class_id=1 WHERE products_tax_class_id=''
the zen_ maybe needed to be changed to match the prefix on your tables
that would be two single quotes

Personally, I'd cheat on this ...
If you want ALL products to be taxable ...
Go to Tools ... Insert SQL Patches ...
UPDATE products SET products_tax_class_id=1;
This will fix it with or without prefixes as it is built to manage that for you ... :smile:

Then your active tax class isn't number "1". Change the "1" to whatever your active/desired tax class is.
Or just change every product manually.

Thanks Ajeh, this also works GREAT to **remove** the tax class on a vast amount of products if you change the 1 to a 0 like:
```php
UPDATE products SET products_tax_class_id=0;
Thank you! Very cool. Worked like a charm on 11,600 products I forgot to address in the customers 12 ez-poplulate uploads.
That sql patch page could be dangerous in the wrong hands!
That sql patch page could be dangerous in the wrong hands!Exactly. That's why we encourage people to "do it right the first time", and find long-term fixes instead of using tools dangerously without the knowledge required to be safe.
Taxable options are not typically in a product upload file although the field can easily be added. I do know my way around an sql query and certainly back up everything before executing strange ones.
And since you built this thing, I will most definitely heed your advice.
My comment was made to imply that I would hate for a hacker to successfully find himself on this page.
Worked for me. Thank you.
How we can change all products only in one category to taxable / non taxable using sql?
